Nothing fancy here.  Just single-shots, no filters, no stacking. A wee bit of post-processing to remove some noise and increase sharpness a bit.

All taken the night of 2023-03-06

I took this afocal iPhone photograph of the 98%-illuminated Moon on Sunday night using a 6" Orion SkyQuest XT6 Dob and a 17.3mm Tele Vue Delos eyepiece.

This was taken just after midnight on March 4, 2023 at the prime focus of a Takahashi FC-100DZ with a ZWO ASI183MM Pro camera. I drizzled this up to an image scale of 0.43 arc seconds per pixel or an equivalent focal length of 1,140mm to try to get closer to critical sampling but I don't think it helped much with the detail (I'm sure I'd do better with a weak barlow). However, it looks like I came fairly close to showing the small craterlets that are on eastern floor of Clavius and if I had done that it would have been a first for me with a scope this small.

Image capture using SharpCap Pro, processing with Autostakkert! (best 1000 of 20,000 frames), Registax (wavelet sharpening), and Photoshop 2023. The image caption contains more details about the capture.

This is my first decent lunar image.  I've only had this scope and camera combination since January this year so I am the very definition of a newbie!

Copernicus Crater region photographed with C6 Evolution SCT at 1500mm FL.  UV/IR cut filter in front of an ASI 585MC camera.  Video was captured using Sharpcap Pro then processed in AS3.  I ran it through Registax next to sharpen but I'm still figuring things out so lots of room for improvement.
