Good seeing at last! Got this with the ASI662 and 3X @ f/15. 22 panel stitch in ICE on my 150mm SkyWatcher. Usual AutoStakkert, RegiStax and finished in GIMP.

This is a hand-held afocal iPhone Pro Max 12 photo that I took with the 5" f/5 achromatic refractor that serves as a finder scope for the Naylor Observatory's 17" f/15 classical Cassegrain prior to the occultation of Mars on January 13th.  I removed the chromatic aberration that was present in the photo.  The lines across the Moon are crosshairs.

From last night, there were clouds but the seeing was better than it was in months. Askar 140APO, ASI533MM with luminance filter, AS!4 for stacking and Astrosurface4 for editing. 1.5X drizzled.

Tonight's Moon through minor clouds.

I'm starting to practice for the ISS transit.  Forecast is looking cloudy.

I took this afocal photo of the 3 day old Moon yesterday evening through my 6" Dob, using a 15mm eyepiece (80x). The arrow points to the area that Blue Ghost landed on the other day.

The Skymax 6 can to so much better.
Last evening @ 330x was really great. So cold but I couldn't get off the views.
No lack of crispness or contrast. Just a perfect view, only wabbling a bit.

Just read: "Lunar Observing Forum Rules"

This was taken last night at 1925hrs, NE Scotland through my Sky-Watcher Star-Travel 102 (4”) Refractor with my Svbony SC311 Wi-Fi camera and my Samsung Galaxy S10+.

It is a single shot with no stacking and modified only using the features in the Svbony Astro app.

I rotated the image so that it lined up with my Moon gazing reference books.

If anyone can tell me the name of the two dark craters, towards the lower half of the Terminator, with internal features illuminated, I’d be very grateful.

Regards

H

I was out -Finally yaa- so used both the 60mm spotter @60X for venus in decent seeing pretty high in Edmonton and then used a cooled Evolux 62mm apo and tested out my new 17.3Delos on M42 WOW what exquisite stars the 3.1degree field pinpoint ultra small stars the trap etched @23X and the nebula delineated exceptionally well for B9 skies then took off to Jupiter and brought out 5X for 115X and Very nice belt saturation with poor to tolerable seeing. The white part under the S EQ belt being particularily white. Finally went native again for the moon and Proclus tri-radial arm of its ejecta reaching far across mare crisium and Ariadaeus & Hyginus rille obvious and 5X PM view was nicely framed with a bit of dark space framing her and decent seeing higher up it having a snap-to focus very crisp and sensitive to defocus. A worthy addition to the kit !

It excells at DSO stuff with its incredibly vibrant white stars. A bit of Field curvature no biggy and fairly easy pupil but blackouts too close. Instajust was squeeky but locked well i didn't need much though.
Seems a bit wider than 70°.

Good to catch Mt. Hadley and its long shadow coming out of the terminator when i gained a bit more power so only the Delos edge was in the PM so maybe 130X and alpine valley almost all in shadow. You really need 150X at least to catch sight of it IMO and the next night is ideal after first quarter to try for it.
