Time to add few more front-shot on image sensors
BTW, old thread "Join the pixel party" is here
First a type-1/2" Aptina monochrome MT9M001
Also, a type-1/3" Aptina color AR0130

ICX663 double-scan CCD
MT9M034 monochrome (e.g., as used in QHY5L-II Mono)

IMX225 which is the cousin of the now famous IMX224. Both have the optional 2x "charge-to-voltage conversion ratio" mode.
add another IMX225 shot
ICX672 Exview HAD II

A7s .... oooooo .... acres and acres of pixels.
Thanks CCS, it's fun to see all these sensors.

I'd like to show how a SONY monochrome CCD (in this case a type-1/2" ICX428ALL) and
a SONY complementary-color (CYM-G) CCD )in this case, a type-1/3" ICX638AKA) looks like.
Note that the color CCD has colored border (green-blueish) and mono does not.
From side view viewing, the active imaging area also shows color on color Bayer-array CCD.

The reason for the mono vs color comparison is to make sure when you buy a monoCCD based imager (usually cost more due to low volume production)
you are getting it.
