I doubt if anyone here is going want this telescope , but I thought I would offer it before I donate it to my local GW & it gets trashed. It is a Mizar Hino opt Zengel refractor Telescope 60x800. I am guessing it is from the 60's , but do not know for sure. This is a draw tube focuser. It needs a tripod chain spreader.  It has a beautiful boxed set of 3 original Mizar Ep's & some sort of 2 lens EP marked T.E.P. F 16MM that is approx 6 inches long. It has the original dovetail mount , but I lost the clevis base to the mount over the years. I am including a meade clevis base & dovetail plate that inserts into the original Mizar mount & works fine. It has an original Mizar Sun filter. Original tripod legs included missing 1 bolt & wingnut that will cost a couple bucks to replace. The OBJ lens is clean , 1 clamshell on edge does not affect views. Doublet spacer is exposed in 2 places on the edge & should be an easy fix for a more experienced user that can disassemble the OBJ. I cannot do it , don't know how. Has original Mizar pamphlet catalog & box in Japanese. This is a local pick only in St. Louis Missouri & within about 75 to 100 miles in any direction. Pm me if anyone wants it. Thanks Piaget JW 0020210531_233415.jpg  0020210531_233533.jpg  0020210531_234134~2.jpg  0020210531_234451.jpg

I think T.E.P. stands for terrestrial eye piece.  That kind of eyepiece would give upright corrected images.

That is a nice offer. Several here would like the boxed eyepieces but this set with original shipping box and papers should stay together. It looks like a little fiddle and refurbish could save a respectable small vintage Mizar.

I have two nice Mizar and would love to have the eyepieces but won't even ask, this should stay together.

Kudos to Piaget.

Something from the parts stash:

Unknown RA drive box, it appears to be similar to the Celestron Logic drive / Orion but has no makers mark. A friend gave it to me for free, and now I'm giving it back to someone who will use it. Shaft coupling is in good shape but it's missing the the battery door cover (just use some tape) it worked fine on my old Polaris mount until I upgraded. Requires 2 9V batteries not included.

Should fit in a small box, free for anyone interested here in the US

The Mizar found a good home with a CNer who was willing to drive 525 miles roundtrip to get it. Because he made such a long drive , I included a Tasco 14Te OTA & A box full of eps & other OBJ lenses & a Mayflower 80mm refractor & Unitron 80mm refractor with mount & EQ1 mount & tripod. Also many miscellaneous parts. Thank you Rich

I doubt if anyone here is going want this telescope , but I thought I would offer it before I donate it to my local GW & it gets trashed. It is a Mizar Hino opt Zengel refractor Telescope 60x800. I am guessing it is from the 60's , but do not know for sure.

When I located the old box of parts I found several items long forgotten. This is a JMI single speed focuser with what appears to be sct threads(I have never tried it but am sure it came to me with that expectation and the minimal travel seems to verify).Model # looks to be NGF 3. Free to whomever wants it.

If the person receiving the JMI-NGF from mdowns discovers that their scope has larger (medium?) 3.25" SCT threads and not the smaller 2" SCT threads, still sitting on my back-burner is the DIY task of making an ADPT2SCT for the JMI-NGF that I bought used a couple of months ago, which came with only the ADPT3SCT fitting.    So if it helps, I'd be up for a straight trade to let the person have my ADPT3SCT if that's what they need, in return for the smaller ADPT2SCT.   Just FYI, my wanted ad here includes JMI parts diagrams to illustrate the differences:   https://astromart.co...hreads-adpt2sct

Big pile of stuff. Two off-axis guiders (Celestron won't stay in one piece, Criterion looks glued back together), 50mm finder rings, eyepiece barrels, some unknown apparatus, 50mm guide scope and half a 30mm finder along with a 6mm Criterion Ortho that needs cleaning. Would prefer to keep this all together and ship in one box. As usual, you cover shipping.

Next item from the box of old parts I recently found. It is a old meade 50mm finder. This is the one that has a focusing ring in the back. When it came to me there was no diagonal but I found one for it. I put a 20mm eyepiece in to test and it did just fine. My guess is maybe from a lx10?

Does not include the eyepiece.Free to whom wants it.

Another item in that box was this 50 year old Bushnell monocular,6x44. I have several of these over the years and if I recall ,originally they came with a camera adapter. Very interesting piece with the focus ring around the objective A narrow but very sharp, bright fov. Large prism assembly. Comes with the original leather pouch.Significant ding along the outer edge of the beauty ring but performance is unaffected.

I live in Argentina, 5000 miles south of the US. A country punished by a left-wing populist government, that has led us to isolation. I am 69 years old and economic restrictions no longer allow me travel.
I was excited about the idea of making a binocular at a 90º angle and took advantage of the fact that a friend went to visit the son, who lives in Florida. So I asked Michael for the glasses.
Michael sent me both lenses and didn't let me pay for the freight. His only requirement was: "The only cost will be that picture of your project sir!. Michael".
It is good that it is known.
Thank you Michael.
