I just purchased a Supercharged WO bino from Denis and I have been very pleased with my purchase.  Excellent work, great communication and fast shipping.  The increase in aperture with the WO bino's is very noticeable which does relate to a brighter view.  If you are thinking about having him supercharge your bino's do it you won't be disappointed.  Thank you Denis!

A word of thanks to Denis for the superb supercharge service of my Bader Maxbright Binoviewer.

I had dropped them,  my clumsy handling and they were completly useless, Denis brought them back to a better than new state.

Colimation is perfect, merge is immediate and this service at this price is highly recommended.

I'll try not to drop them again.

Best Regards

Carl

Some Celestron models like this on pictrues before/after Supercharge service will lokks like this:

---25mm Clear Aperture (Supercharged) prisms on each eyepiece side, instead 20mm Clear Aperture prisms like in original setup
---25mm (Supercharged) prisms on telescope side, instead 20mm Clear Aperture prisms like in original setup.

Huge difference and well worth to do!

Hi Dennis,

I have a question about my TS-Binoviewer. Well, I would like to have eyepiece holder change to twist style but also wanted to have focusing individually. The reason I wanted to do is that I messed up  both eyepiece focusers but the binoviewer's alignment is in perfect shape so all I need is to replace the holders. If you do it then how much would it cost to me. Your reply will be appriciated  and yeah, GREAT WORK that you are doing for the astronomy community.

Thanks,

Hello Jawaid,

tell me which exactly model of eyepeice holders you would like to use?

I would recommend to make adapters which will allow you T2 connection, so you can connect directly Baaders ClickLock or Helicall eyepeice holders.

Denis has supercharged my old Mark I Baader and has done some additional modifications after we had  discussed the job.

Within a couple of days I have received a supercharged "Mark V".

Good and fast communication, the bino came back in excellent condition.

This is a guy of high expertise and craftmanship doing a great job worth every cent!

Regards & CS

Unfortunately I had a negative experience with Denis and although I don't want to, I feel obligated to post it here so that others are aware. I had a good experience with Denis in Dec 2015, so much so that I decided to send him some more work. I followed his instructions which included a request to use less packaging. Unfortunately, this caused one of the prisms on my Mark Vs to crack in half due to the handling of the package. Denis wants you to send him the smallest sized parcel as possible in order to avoid paying VAT and import duties which I understand. But if something goes wrong you have to accept responsibility is something were to go wrong. Something did go wrong and Denis refuses to accept responsibility. He pretty much said that there is nothing that he can do and that he can only give me $150. Really? I told him that it would be fair if he were to cover half the cost of what the Mark Vs go for on the used market. I also am willing to take half the responsibility since I also took some risk by sending it to him. I am posting posting this not to discourage people from sending Denis work (since my first experience was a positive one) but for you to be aware that if something goes wrong you are going to be on the losing end.

Dear Sergio,

as you already know, we already discuss all that, and I feel very bad and very sorry that this happened.

Postmans were VERY rough due shipping/delivery your item. Thats first time happened that prisms chipped.

I promised you if I get one day some bino for parts for some reasonable price, I will cover all your prisms replacements, but as I told you, I could not promise if that would happened in 1 month, 1 year, 10 years or never.....

Overseas shipping takes long trip, and I hoped that this will never haplened, despite there is always risk to happened like it happened.

Problem about large pocket and big worthness by Croatian laws cause that I must pay import dutyes, taxes and WAT due import, like I buy item, so becuase that I can do Supercharge only in case pocket is small, but bino still well protected, with low worthness, otherwise, that job would not be worth to do at all.

I was walso thinking seriously to break down do Supercharge to people who lives out of Europe all because import problems mentioned to me due import.....

I do not have almost any profit from this, and there is very low number of interested people, and I do that all with lots of love, because I wants to bring astronomers affordable, excellent and cheap upgrade of their toys, that they can enjoy more in astronomy not spending unnecessarly much money.

EDIT:

Now lets the people know the whole thing, and you try figure out where could be problem:

Sergio contacted me first time, and told me that his Mark V bino had dropped, and it is out of collimation, so he asked if I can do Supercharge as well collimation.
He ship it first time on same instructions I provided second time, and bino arrived safely to me. When I receive bino, already first time I saw couple dents on binobody caused by dropping, as well few chipped parts of paint on binobody.
I do Supercharge, collimation and cleaning, and shipped it back without any problem.
Sergio received bino and all were right.

Couple weeks later, Sergio contacted me again, and told me that his Mark V dropped AGAIN, and that he loose collimation again, and told me that correction glass fall out from bino!!! Here, it must be hard shock of dropping!
I told him to ship it back again, in same shipping instructions I give him first time.
Sergio ship it to me, and when I received item (box was not damaged), I saw chipped prisms inside and imeadiately contacted Sergio with attached photos of damage. Except chipped prisms, I saw new dents on bino from dropping caused by uncarefull handling of Sergio, as well one very visible dent on one eyepiece holder. Expecting that, eyepiece holder is shiffted a bit, and it works excentrically, and not smooth locking as it should be. Thats need to be replaced, but Baader does not offer these for replace or for sale, so it is impossible to replace it.

So tell me now, how much worth bino which Sergio shipped to me, which have couple dents on binobody and couple chipped paints parts, as well one excentrically, and not perfectly good working eyepiece holder which can not be replaced at all, and all that caused by uncarefull handling of Sergio?????

Tell me how much worth such bino????

It is not my fault at all!!!

I offered Sergio new prisms replacements tottaly for free in case one day I get them for resonable price from some used hino.....

Postmans did what they did, or now, I even start thinking that these chipped prisms damages already before Sergio shipped bino out by his prooved uncarefull handling, and tried to get new ones.........

Really do not know and I am not care which of that is truth, but all that is not my fault, and I already offered him free prisms replacement in case I get them, and I will cover shipping costs.

Just wanted to post this note.

I bought a Mark V from Denis about a month ago for a very good price and went for the supercharge service as well.

The Mark V arrived very well packed with the viewer in like new condition.  Nice.

The large apertures of the light path are immediately obvious.  Nice.

I did a quick check out run with them last night.  No problems at all.  Collimation was spot on.  The larger aperture light path was immediately obvious too when I used my 32MM Brandons.  There was basically no vignetting out at the edge.  My Denks show a pronounced darkening, which have caused these nice eyepieces to sit idle.  Now I use them for low power viewing.  Very nice!

I'll post a more detailed comparison with the Denks and use with various diagonals at a later date in the bino-viewer topic above.

Denis's prices were very good and his follow up communications and updates were excellent.  It was an excellent transaction and I'm a very happy customer.

...here are binos like Celestron, Omegon, TS, Astro-Professional, William Optics and simillar...

While many have problems with TS, WO and simmilar binos when needed collimation, where many times original screws which holds prisms are missing, or they usually break up when you try unscrew them, and access to them is not good,

I add much stronger, fatter screws, which holds prisms MUCH better, and collimation is MUCH more easier to do!

On left side you can see originall screws in bino, and on right pictures are replaced better screws!

Here is Supercharged and modified Leica newest and biggest model of binoviewer.

Finally it produce pure white image, vs older Leica models which produce yellowish tone.

Clear Aperture after Supercharge is 28mm.

Coatings are best possible, with high polished optics.

Here it is how it looks like after my work.....

Denis, is your supercharging service for binoviewers only, or can you supercharge conventional porro binoculars also?

If so have you any photographs?

Do you have any before and after light transmission or measured fov figures, to compare?

Thanks.
