Hi, I recently had my Arcturus binoviewers supercharged by Denis (probably last photos are from mine!) and just wanted to comment the proccess was very fast, and openings on all sides are now bigger with a great craftmanship. I've tested them quickly by day and now they are perfectly collimated, and light gathering and vignetting seem much better, waiting for  next week for real testing. Denis has done a great job, I recommend his service.

Here is example of Supercharged and modified Carl Zeiss binoviewer.

Now, it have full 25mm CA instead 23-24mm orginally, and it is fully suitable for astronomy use.

Also, all prisms are additionally blackened.

Let me introduce

Supercharge Service of Denkmeier Denk I, Denk II, and Denk DeepSky, and simillar binoviewers:

Upper prism, beamsplitter and correction glass are 26mm in diametrer.

Inside bino, Clear Aperture is limited to 24mm only.

After Supercharge you get full Clear Aperture of 26mm on each side of bino!

So it means you will have almost none vignetting when using Panoptics 24mm, Explore Scientific 24mm 68 degrees and simillar eyepeices.

Kind regards and all best

I would like to take a moment to state that Denis and I have resolved our issue. I would like to thank Denis for stepping up.

Un gesto gentil de ambas partes merece ser reconocido siempre: acuerdo de caballeros!
A kind gesture from both parts always deserves to be recognized: Gentlemen's deal!

I'm happy that both of you could settle this problem!
We need the craftmanship Denis has to improve our equipment, not many people out there like him!

I purchased a supercharged Baader Mark V Binoviewer from Denis. It arrived from Croatia to Canada in just under 10 days. The supercharge service Denis performed is absolutely first rate. Widening of the field stops in the eyepiece holders and nosepiece, blackening of the prism edges and blackening of the nose ring is done in a manner that seems factory quality. It's definitely not a hack job. Now I can't comment on improved performance over a standard Mark V because I've never looked through one and don't have access to one to do a direct A - B comparison. All I can attest to is the supercharge service looking professional grade. I've only had the binoviewer for a few days and have had it out just a couple of times. No complaints with the performance, the views are beautiful. Thanks Denis!

Here is one more TS Supercharged and modified binoviewer, with newest design back T2 INOX adapter, with same T2 connection design which have Baader Mark V binoviewer, so it is compatibile with Baader Quick Changer adapters.

Now openings on all sides are FULL 25mm of Clear Apertures!

Would you really notice a difference of only 1mm (~4%) diameter change from 27-28mm?

Hardly to none.

Its all about vignetting on edges, and just bit better illuminated spot area. You actually get max of optics you can get.

Supercharging Siebert Black Night binoviewer

Thats Sieberet binoviewer with beamsplitter and upper prism in diameter 22.5mm, and 22mm in diameter of correction glass.

Clear Apertures are as follow in original setup:

---22.5mm CA on left eyepeice side
---20mm CA on right eyepeice side (limited by inner side)
---22.5mm CA on telescope side

After Supercharge you get:

---22.5mm CA on left eyepeice side
---22mm CA on right eyepeice side
---22.5mm CA on telescope side

Beamsplitter and upper prism are not bleckened, while correction glass it is.

I do blackening both beamsplitter and upper prism as shown in photos.

Supercharge Service of Siebert Echelon 40 binoviewers

HUGE binoviewer, and biggest binoviewer in serial production made with all prisms!
It have HUGE 40mm in diameter beamsplitter, cube design.
Next to beamsplitter, Siebert use errecting prism 34mm in diameter, to reflect light from beamsplitter to right eyepeice side.
So, Siebert here does not use correcting cylindricall type of glass which is common in all prism design binoviewers.
He get same results here.

Light from beamsplitter which goes striaght, incoming in 34mm in diameter errecting prism, and after again in 34mm in diameter errecting prism which reflect light to left eyepiece side. (two prisms here, and same results at the end like any other prism design binoviewer).

Clear Aperture on telescope side is 38mm, and can be Supercharged to 39.4mm.
Clear Aperture on right eyepeice side is 28mm, and can be Supercharged to 31.5mm.
Clear Aperture on right eyepeice side is 30mm, and can be Supercharged to 31.5mm.

Kind regards and all best

I just got my bino's back from Denis:  what a surprise..it's like Christmas!!

Had my eye on a Baader Mark V, but they were not available until further notice. To me that means a looong waiting time.

Denis offered me an alternative so I bought a black Zeiss super bino from him and had it supercharged right away.

Also send him a maltreated secondhand MaxBright bino, which was in a really bad shape and far out of collimation. He collimated and supercharged that one too.

As I said: today my bino's arrived and I was totally overwhelmed when I saw them. Especialy the Zeiss is just awesome. It looks like the Baader Mark V, but beautifull black. I am glad now the Baaders were not available!

I have not been able to test them, yet (Murphy, the atronomers patron) but will a.s.a.p. and leave a comment here.

I can only say the work Denis does is absolutely superb. My experience with him and our communication was nothing less then unbelievable. This does not happen that often...

So a great thank you to Denis for his fantastic work and the great deal he gave me!

Waldemar

More Supercharge Service infos:

VERNONSCOPE binoviewers!

These are very expensive binos, whole made from metal, and built like a tank!

With Supercharge you get:

***24.5mm Clear Aperture on left eyepeice side, vs originally limited 22mm

***24mm Clear Aperture on rifgt eyepeice side, vs originally limited 22mm

***24.5mm Clear Aperture on back/telescope side, vs originally limited 22mm

Eyepeice holders are BEST I ever used in bino world, self centring, and very precise. I like them most of all holders existable!

Light transmittion is very very high, with excellent transparency.
Bino suffer like most binos from polarisation effect.
All in all, this in ONLY bino IMO which stays very tight head by head vs premium and worldbest Carl Zeiss binoviewers!

There are 2 versions of these binos: one have 1 set screw on each eyepeice side, and second have like this on post self centring eyepeice holders.

P.S. this is my modification with T2 INOX custom made adapter scope connection, and blackened middle plate.

Hey Denis. Do you know what is the reason some binoviewers have no polaraisation, some, & lots of polarization? What is different about the internal design that makes the result?

Denis, I think he may have also  been asking the reason manufactures incorporated the Polarization effect into the design.

My understanding was it was an easy way to get the 3D effect in the "early years"......
