Please remember that guests can also read these posts, so don't be too specific about your location or provide other information you don't want the whole world to see.  One may want to PM other members in your area and meet at a public location.

In case any of you fine folk travel to Nicosia, Cyprus and wish to enjoy some decent skies, I'd be more than happy to offer ride, telescope, eyepieces and what I hope will be perceived as decent company.

We've got SQM 21+ skies at 3 dark sky locations within 50 minutes of Nicosia and I have enough gear to accommodate 2 guests.

Current lineup is a 12" dob, 102mm, 76mm and 60mm refractors and lots of eyepieces with green letters on em. Should keep you entertained for the evening.

If you are in my neck of the woods and in the mood to observe, just PM me.

Nick from Nicosia,

I live in California, but was in Nicosia in late June. I made it a point to stop in at the astronomy store in town. It was nicely equipped and the guys who ran it seemed real nice. I was not planning on buying anything, but just wanted to visit a local astro hobbyist. I visited for fifteen minutes and really enjoyed finding out about the island, where to go view, how many hobbyists there are, and all that.  THe island sounds like a nice place for an astro-visit.

Hi Alex,

I now regret not posting this a few months back as we could have arranged to go for a nice evening of some heavy duty observing of the summer constellations.

If you are ever around again...
