There's a good FS-152 NSV for sale on CN/AM now...

It’s a beauty. I also like that the prices have been around $7000 for the last couple that have sold. They appear to be going up in value compared to a few years ago.

Every once in in a great while I actually contemplate selling mine. And then I think to myself, are you nuts?

Beautiful scopes and beautiful views.

Please see post #73 under this thread. It's only 8.9kg and that's a standard version, not NSV.

I am the proud new owner of an FS-152.  How would I be able to determine the model?   Sorry for the naïve question.

What the serial number? Usually we can tell the model based on it.

Serial number 99020.  Thanks.

It should be a standard version. Not SV or NSV.

Hi.   Not really the intent of this thread but I'll try anyway.   Trying to figure out the proper adaptors to use to achieve effective back spacing / focus for imaging with my FS-152.   Does anyone know how to figure out the exact physical dimensions and threads for each part in the Takahashi system chart?   Thanks.

If you are using the original dedicated f6 reducer or f8 flattener, they both have the same backfocus of 106.2mm. I had PreciseParts build the adapters for my cameras, so I don’t know the thread sizes, etc.

Hi Kurt.   Yes, I have both the original reducer and flattener.   Thanks for the heads up regarding PreciseParts.   Funny that Takahashi doesn't help with the exact physical dimensions of each component in the system chart to assist with this exercise - such as the thickness of part TKP80100 and TKP27113, for example.  Guess I'll have to try Takahashi America.

This exact sample.

Me too - I bought the FS-152 from Randall and it was an excellent performer! Absolutely beautiful to look at or through. Once it was here and mounted on the NJP I tried to convince myself to sell the TEC200ED but just could not do it. Thought about keeping both but sold my FC-125J to a friend who also bought my NJP. The FS-152 sold quickly to a wonderful amateur who has a very nice collection of Takahashi scopes.....
