Abell 1367, also known more informally as the Leo Cluster, is thought to be roughly 330 million light years distant.

None of these galaxies is particularly bright. NGC 3842 is 11.8 and is 1.4'x1'. NGC 3861, the pretty spiral to the left of NGC 3842 is Mag 12.7 and is 2.3'x1.3'.

Nice one MR.  Tough to keep the background noise down on those dim target images, but you did a good job.

You must have had a nice cold night to get -25C,  the other night I was barely able to get -15C.

Thanks Scott, Jeff, Anis, Goofi, Josh, Peter, Dave, and Richard. :)

While not as spectacular visually as images of more famous galaxies, I find images like this really engage me. In the annotated version, I counted something like 125 galaxies +-. And the annotation missed some obvious ones.

If this galaxy cluster was at the distance of the Virgo Cluster, it would be truly spectacular.

Wow MR you really have imaged a large galaxy cluster. I really like the galaxy season - easy with a DSLR - but I have ignored the clusters. Something to look forward to. I started counting the galaxies as well - gave up long before 125.  :)
