Tom;

In the shooting sports (mainly hunting), in cold weather you MUST remove all lubricants or else you will suffer a frozen firing pin. Which leads to my question: "Can you take the TV apart enough to clean out the lub, maybe even replace it with a high quality synthetic?".

For us in hell down here in Phoenix, that may raise the opposite problem in the heat. There's always duct tape I guess.
