Nice!

Where's the CW?  Or is the mount so heavy it doesn't need one?

TOOOOM!!!  Was just wondering about you the other day!!!  Glad to see you are still compiling and reclaiming awesome scopes.  I was starting to worry that you were off to the land of "my wife has me doing chores, and finds my telescopes boring".  LOL.

My treasured Ralph Dakin 4" F10 is back, and better than ever:

Dakin 4 - Restore S01.jpg

Big Green Machine will be taking on Saturn, Mars, and DSOs tonight -- may even do some imaging (after many months of cloudy nights that'll be comical!).

Note that for once I didn't polish the brass -- cleaning only on the finder.  (Wonder if it was some kinda rifle-scope?)

What an elegant scope, JW. My pink Swift 818 f9.5 is due for a repaint. Mind if I copy your color scheme?

Hi Folks,

here a classical "mixture"

- Zeiss Telementor tripod

- Royal Astro mount

- OTA 60/910 "Everlite" (aka Vixen) in extraordinary well optical quality

all around 40 years old ... and a fun-making combination ;-)

best regards from stuttgart/germany, hannes

10" Starfinder with some addons (extra counterweight, Moonlite focuser, flocked).

10inchstarfinders.jpg

Certainly not a Cave, but she's good optically (~1/6 wave, about equal to the Coulter 10" f/5.6 it replaced), workable mechanically, and cost me only $250.

The drive works but is rather finicky and didn't engage at all tonight. Runs off a 9-volt battery.

f/4.5, but I use a Paracorr.
