I just realized that according to Google AI, the Sky-Watcher and Celestron versions of the 102mm F5 achromatic refractor that was first introduced back in 1999, now makes my Celestron version a classic. I've owned mine for over 20-years.
The scope has traveled by plane to dark skies and delivered great, deep sky, rich field views, delivered great daytime spotting scope views (usually stopped down), great comet views and even quick views of the moon and planets (usually with a filter). Nowadays, the scope is used with my image intensifier for killer, rich field, deep sky observing, even from a light polluted location. When used as intended, the scope has been a real workhorse.
The 4" F5 with the added GSO 2" focuser and image intensifier on an alt/az mount and just the OTA with a 1.25 diagonal, 6x30 finder and a laser pointer.
