This is the first time I've ever looked at this and its pretty cool.  I tried to give it the actual "soapbubble" look.  This is HaO3 in 30min exposures.  I hope you all enjoy!!

Very nice as always.  The bubble stands out more distinctly than many images out there.  Of course having 16" of aperture helps!  It's curious to me that the soap bubble is predominantly blue.  In my few attempts at this I saw more of the bubble in Ha than OIII.  How strong is the signal in each of your Ha and OIII images?

I don't often comment on images but that's well captured and deftly processed.

My regards,

Yes, I agree, well done.  I played with this object while processing a NB image of the Crescent.  Both Ha and OIII produce good images, but not SII.

I can remember back when Neil shot this image and was one of the first to notice it in his image but someone seen it on his image and took credit for the discovery. His E mail was sent or recieved by the powers to be just moments befor Neils Mail.So the discovery went to someone else with no mention of Neil at all.Yes Ive been around in this hobby for a long time and remember this very well.

Now that I have internet back I can only agree with everyone.  It is the best of this object I can recall.  25 hours of NB is amazing.

I haven't had 25 hours of clear skies in two months.

very nice job, Jimmy.

when i shot this object, i found most of the signal was in OIII as demonstrated in this animation of a transition between OIII and Ha i put together (a few years ago)... the soap bubble is in the lower left corner -- most visible in the OIII frames

Definitely the best one out there.

I'm always surprised at how often people spend a lot of time imaging NGC 6888 with this framed out of of the image.
