I just saw on http://www.talscopes.com/index.cfm that they are having a liquidation sale. A TAL 150K OTA is going for $499. Is this for real?

Yasho

Any comments on their mounts? The TAL2 is $100 and the GEM3 is $125.

Be prepared to spend a lot of time making the Tal 2 better(tweaking)......... However..... Very, very, very well built. Super heavy duty. Very heavy as well.

The latter is a better choice (from what I have heard) but I am unfamiliar with it.

That pier 4 is solid as a rock!! Very well built!
