Hi,

I've just started working on a Lomo MBS-10 stereo microscope.

The thing has been stored in a dark and humid basement for a decade, and optics are of course awfully dirty. The unit is out of collimation on top of that.

I have dismantled most everything, but I can't figure out how to disassemble the IPD adjustment mechanism.

I have removed every accessible screw on each side but everything seems locked in place. I need to clean and lubricate that mechanism as well as cleaning the lenses, and don't want to risk damaging the mechanism by using bruteforce.

Does anyone know how to proceed?

Below are reference pictures taken on each side of the mechanism.

Thanks in advance,

regards,

Ant1

Sorry for this very late reply:-).

You'll find some very knowledgeable LOMO-experts in Germany, specifically amongst the members of the "microscope friends" in Nordhessen, see: http://www.mikroskop...e-nordhessen.de.

Their very extensive LOMO archive is online as well: http://www.mikroskop...sen.de/lomo.php.
