Hi All,

This was a test to see how much of the nebula I could pull in from my observing site 10 mi from Philly.

Camera: 60Da @ISO6400;

Pretty remarkable for only 9 minutes of exposure in 20 second subs from a red zone!

Amazing.  I flew back to the west coast from Philly about a week ago leaving on a very clear night and was astounded - in a very bad way - at the extent of light pollution along the East Coast.  I agree with Jerry the image is remarkable and to me almost unbelievable that it's possible to pull that detail through the photon soup.  Nice job!

Hi Jerry, Joe,

Yeah, I was pleased with the result myself. I forget to mention I was using an IDAS light pollution filter. Also shooting at f/4 helped considerably.

Thanks,

John
