... and only found out later, and after a ton of irritation, that it wasn't really compatible with Windows 10.  ...

I had a similar experience just after acquiring two ZWO cameras in 2019 but discovered there was an update from Microsoft that broke the ZWO drivers - and ZWO subsequently updated their driver quickly. If you had updated Windows and installed the new driver all worked again.

These are really excellent and beautiful shots. I am still bumping my head with DSO imaging using the Orion G3 color cam. The Jaeger lenses are great.

It used to be that we needed to send probes to get images like this.

If you haven't seen this APOD, from couple of weeks ago, with a triple moon shadow, double transit of resolved disks, and one moon occluding and then casting an eclipse on another, it's worth a look.

It was done by an amateur who regularly posts on the AP forum.

Jupiter, taken last night with my SP-C8, ASI120MC, and 2x Barlow.

I did some post processing with GIMP and was able to bring out some more detail.

I gave the Intes Micro MN65Q Deluxe another whirl.  Seeing seemed to fluctuate, but mostly pretty unstable.  7mm Nagler with Phoneskope adapter for Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.  Phone camera was at 2.5x.  PIPP, Registax, and PS Express to process a 35 second UHD60 video.

Quick 20 second video of the moon using the 1967 Cave Astrola 8" f/6 Lightweight I saved from the dump. Mirrors cleaned and collimated is the only thing I did so far. Captured with an ASI533MC. Autostakkert + Registax. Best 25% stacked.

My first planetary photo attempt.  I have much to learn

Orion/Vixen 102M

ASI294MC Pro

10 second video captured with ASI-Cap at I think 16.8fps processed with Lynkeos, I don't know the % of good frames.  Probably half?
