Last Sunday night my 13 year old daughter joined me for a viewing session. Even though she lives down the street with her misguided mother who thought the stars were brighter on the other side of the sky, I don't get to see her much because at that age her friends are by far the most important thing in her life...understandable. She hadn't looked through the scope for a long while so binoviewing was new to her. I was amazed at how much she enjoyed the 2 hour session in the cool evening and her dissappointment at having to end it when she was still wide awake and could go a lot longer. She adapted to binoviewing very easily, and enjoyed every target we explored. She listened to every explanation I gave and asked questions for more information. We both agreed that we were looking forward to the next opportunity to do some star gazing together again. Who knows, maybe her interest will grow enough to start following me around at star parties! :jump:

John,

How rewarding to spend the evening with children, *especially* one's own daughter.

Thank you much for sharing! Here is wishing you many more evenings under the sky with your star.

Tom T.
