Questar 3.5 for sale.

The seller of that one tells me the serial number is a 7-DP-6953, yet the single image (pirated from Wikipedia) shows a Standard, not a Duplex.  I'm awaiting more images, but until then I'll assume fraud.

Thank you George for including me. Not paper route for me tho, baby sitting, watering lawns, walking dogs, and feeding pets were my income sources.

Slung hay bales and built decks.  Never got anything for mowing our 4 acre lawn.

Speaking of 60mm Japanese scopes...Did any of you happen to snag this one? Sears 6343 I think.

I think that C8 is a good price considering it is like BRAND NEW. You can't get a new Chinois' C8 OTA only for that price. If I weren't done, I'd buy it.

Wow!  That looks new.

That looks expensive.

$500 for a brand new 1970s C8? That's unbelievable!

I can't believe this is still out there - this is a great buy!

Gives me the creeps!

That is one of the real early ones with the smaller base. It had a spur gear drive. I had one just like that. Nice condition. The spur gear was good for visual, but hard to guide for AP.

Not particularly early.  That is a die cast C8.  The C5 is the one that came with a small base.  As far as I know,  all these types were a spur gear.   The price of 500 for just the scope (no tripod) is up there,  at best it is a max for the right buyer for a die cast (NOT a sand cast),  maybe in new condition but the asking price shows it.

It is being sold by a dealer.

It's just the run of the mill C8.  Had enough to know most were not that great back in them days.

Ok, time to close this one out and start again, without all the personal issues!
