Unitron 152C with all ortho eyepieces.   $4500

Meade RG ortho

Carton 4" lens  $375

Zeiss telmentor might have been listed before

I got dibs on the Carton 4". Plan on making it a guidescope for the Cave 12" convertible. Going to try and get Barry to make a tube for it and find a vintage focuser to mount on it.

Here is a decent looking RV-6 in my area.

the price on that scope jas dropped $25 since it started being advertised.  It is local to me. I will wait until it gets down to $200 before I jump on it.

Yep, everything on the map to the right of Utah is "back East" to a native Californian...

I think you should go for it Vinay! It really is a great price- $1500 considering just what the gears go for. You can probably sell what you have to recoup some of the cost. Of course shipping ain't gonna be cheap!

IIRC it uses a segment RA gear.

From the perspective of a native Kansan, everywhere else is closer to somewhere.

Those are beautiful astronomical accoutrements! Browning made wonderful instruments and his hand spectrascopes are very well known. I have an antique 'practical astronomy experiments' book that is about 100 years or so old that describes the use of the Browning spectrascope. I have a more recent brass model that I machined an adapter for to use in a telescope.
