I've been a bit quiet on the web, but have been busy on numerous projects. This offering, designed in collusion with the client is a build utilising a Starlight focuser and an 80mm triplet which is a cherished lens. The scope is purely for imaging. The counter weigth shaft can be adjusted in either direction and secured in the notches and the brass counter weight can be slid along on either side of the CW stalk.

It's nearly finished, just focuser re-assembly and another polish then off to the customer.

Thanks for looking,

Mark.

A very beautiful telescope, the rounded finishes make it really nice. Incredible and beautiful creation, congratulations!, and congratulations to the owner too.

It is certainly one of the ones that I like the most that you have done happy.png

It took a while to get a few bits finished, but now packing and sending off to the client. Phew.....Sorry for the wait.

Thanks Ranger 4 for your kind comments.

It's an amazing telescope. Incredibly solid and exactly what I was looking for. Now, if only Mark made matching mounts!

After delays on my part (work related travel), here is the telescope in action:

Pics of the "Cherished 80mm Lens" please!

It's an 80mm LOMO triplet with an OK-4 element. I've owned this lens for over 15 years now, but the original OTA had gotten pretty beat up.
