Hello,

It's hard to find good prices in Europe for a GEN 3 monocular or binocular.

Are some of you guys already bought their stuff here and could you help me to find a good store/website supplier of GEN 3 mono or bino?

I found some but the price is close to 5000EUR = 5500USD...

Sadly that will likely be the case.

About a year ago, someone in Europe said they found a used PVS-7 from a night vision dealer for less than $4K, but sadly it is expensive because it is rare there.

No US dealer and no US owner that is not stupid will sell you a Gen 3 device with a figure of merit higher than 1350.   It is illegal for dealers or owners to export higher than 1350 FOM.

It is possible to buy Gen 2 stuff with better specs than FOM of 1350.

Hello,

Not more optimistic than Eddgie, unfortunately... frown.gif

One possible source (yet available, Brexit influence???): Gen II/III

http://www.starlight...pes_online.html

with some possibilities under 5000 Eur.

or here: Gen II/III

http://www.gutzeit-g...kular/index.php

but nevertheless, nothing really reachable under x000 Euros...

other possibilities, if you consider naked tube and processing by DIY... (Gen II)

or through China ??

http://www.hioptic.c...ories/index.htm

Here an other French source: Gen II/(III?)

http://visionnocturne.org/

E-bay stays for us, European, the most common option (at least we are lucky, time to time, to catch some good gen II or gen III through it)...

I bought my two current unit: P8079HP and MX10160, through this means... Modulo accepting the "kinder surprise egg" effect when opening the parcel.... smile.gif

Concerning more precisely the question of budget limitation, IMHO, we have to focuse on second hand market, only naked tubes, and promoting the DIY and scavenger state of mind...

Good luck in your quest...

Do not hesitate to share your finds... wink.gif

Clear skies.
