Captured some images over lunch today. Haven't seen the sun this active for a long time. Many choices of filaments, prominences, and active areas to spend time on. Only had time for a full disk and a couple of close-ups.

Thanks everybody. Big thanks to those here that helped provide guidance on equipment and imaging technique. Its nice to start seeing what this setup is capable of. Since I wanted a small refractor for general observing and travel (more on that later) I decided not to go with a dedicated solar scope. Instead, I went with a TeleVue76 (built like a tank and fits under airplane seat) and a pair of removable external 60mm meade/coronado etalons. Consistent with Bob's input, the external etalons provide very even filtering across the field of view (no sweet spot issues) even at low power full disk (26.4x / 62deg afov) and the double stack produces great contrast. Group input was also instrumental in choice of camera (ASI120mm) and my getting a tilt device (ZWO T2) to address newton's rings.
