More pictures of the camera. I will post on this thread as I learn more about it.

Do you know the price ?
Is there a system to prevent dew on such a large front optical window?

I assume you are a Beta tester since ZWO web site does not have much information.
The QE seems a little low.

Nice!

I wouldn't completely buy the sensorgen number either they often times very from manufacturers spec. That said it's a very early generation Sony sensor from late 11/early 12.Hi Peter,I assume you are a Beta tester since ZWO web site does not have much information.

Yes this is a test camera. There is some information on their Facebook page but nothing much.
The QE is very average on a sensor this size. It should be compared to other full frame sensors.

What makes this "pro"
Probably the size of the sensor. Because I don't know if it's any different than the 071.
So last night I connected the camera to the computer and took some test shots without a lens. I used the ASCOM driver and Sharpcap. Unlike my earlier tests of the 1600 and 071, I didn't experience and download problems or lost frames. Sam said this one has ddr memory and shouldn't have problems with USB 2. In fact I only tried it with USB 2 for now.
The cooling delta is -30C.
The retail price is going to be $3999 but there will be an introductory sale.
There is going to be limited number available based on two chips.
This one which is IMX 092 and one based on IMX 128(Nikon D600)

Quick update:
I had a small problem connecting the camera via USB 3 but it turned out to be a faulty USB cable.
I am getting an L-Pro filter from Optolong and will start imaging starting next week.
So far I haven't had any drop frames or USB hang ups. The camera runs very smooth on Sharpcap and SkyX via the ASCOM driver either with USB 2 or 3.

Hi Tolga - thanks for posting information about this camera. Is this is only going to be available as an OSC, or are there any plans for a mono version?
Posted 11 August 2017 - 11:01 AM
Hi, it's OSC. It's not available in mono. We are all waiting for large mono CMOS chips.Hi Tolga - thanks for posting information about this camera. Is this is only going to be available as an OSC, or are there any plans for a mono version?

Thanks for the pictures Tolga. Another large sensor with such low QE. At least the read noise is a little lower.

Impressive!
Looking at the full-scale image, what s causing that halo around all the stars?
Was there any fog on the scope or camera window??

Thanks, yes I see the halos too. However this is not about processing or filtering. I'm guessing they are from the filters but not sure. I didn't do any noise reduction either to show it as raw as possible.

You should be using some sort of a filter on these since the front glass is AR onlyI see these halos on brighter stars with my ZWO ASI071 too. I believe the window in front of the sensor might be the cause. Thanks, yes I see the halos too. However this is not about processing or filtering. I'm guessing they are from the filters but not sure.
