Where do people in the states get a M11 bar or bolt for a the counterweight? I can only get imperial stuff around here.

Try Aliexpress. That is where I (as a European) get all imperial stuff (like 3/8” or 1/4” screws) from.

M11 seems a bit strange though, in fact, I don’t know if that even exists. I know M10 and M12. In the AZ-GTI you will need M12. I know that, because I just bought a long M12-srew for my AZ-GTI.

I live in a metric part of the world and got an M12 (you need M12 for AZ GTI) bar from a local home improvement, a kind of Home Depot, store. It goes for 10 Euro or so per meter, basically it costs nothing compared to the rest of astro equipment you need to buy ;-)

I use it for around a year. It works. Still, today, I think, I would rather buy a dedicated solution from AliExpress or elsewhere. The major difference is that you need a special form of the tip of the bar so that it fits best into AZ GTI. My plain-vanilla M12 bar wobbles a bit even if it has been screwed into AZ GTI very well. So, go and buy a dedicated bar if you want to use your AZ GTI for longer time ;-)

Sorry, the text is a little small, but i did that quick and dirty.

It's length overall is around 230mm ~not quite 10"

This is my counter weight bar, M12 threaded rod with large square washers (some bound in tape), when screwed into mount it is nice and tight and rigid, definetely not wobbly at all.

Just for clarification, because became little confuse.

There are 2 kind of clamp here: the one from ADM and the one from Primaluce.

The ADM one is connecting through adapter (supplied in the box) and the one from Primaluce is connecting without adapter (the holes fit the existing ones on AZ-GTI).

That right. The ADM covers the spigot providing better protection from dust etc.

Circling back to the question again that was asked earlier - has anyone loaded and tested Firmware version 3.36?

Has anyone had success using eqmod with this mount. I have it installed and am connecting to the mount but my gotos are all over the place. I have downloaded the latest firmware 3.36 and have the mount set to go with wedge, etc. I can skew to an object sync, slew to next star sync, try for a third, none are getting any better. Try to go back to original synced stars and they are no where in the field of the camera. I believe it is something with the worm steps but can find accurate info on what it should be. In eqmod site is says 14400, but in the driver if I select AZ-GTI it’s shows I believe 6590. Anyone have this working?? Thanks

My local Ace hardware store carries lots of metric fasteners, etc.

Or, there's always Amazon.  https://www.amazon.c...ef=nb_sb_noss_1

Scroll down and there are the correct numbers:

For the AZGTi mount:

You will need to download and install the skywatcher EQ mode firmware to your AZ-GTi
You must set EQASCOM to use custom gear settings with the following parameters:

Total Steps: 2073600
Worm Steps: 14400
Tracking Offset:0

is that the information you are looking for?

Yes, that’s the first settings I tried with no results. I can slew around but syncs are wave off. Can’t even return to a previously synced star and have it show up in the field of view.
I’ve used eqmod with my Atlas with no issues.
May have to try something else.

It is, in fact M12 for the AZ-GTI. In the States and Canada, you can order from McMaster-Carr. Here's a link to their Class 10.9 steel metric rods: https://www.mcmaster...ods-class-10-9/

You can also order M12 bolts and if you're handy, fashion you're own counter weight from a steel disc, but I suspect there are less expensive solutions.

I just received this mount and loaded Synscan Pro in my Samsung G7 phone.  I'm having some trouble connecting to the mount.  Most of the time I get this message: Tip: Disconnect mobile internet before retry.  What does that mean?  Now after several minutes it is connecting!  This is very frustrating.

When I connect with my Pixel 3, I select and connect to the mount. I then disconnect and reconnect. Then I open Synscan. Not sure why, but this works reliably. Not sure where I read about this trick

Hmm comes out to a premium with the exchange rate and US shipping... would have to think about it but good to know. US would be preferable

I’ve tried to buy stuff from this site but no one seems to accept PayPal.
