Just uploaded version v.48

 

No longer requires you to install openssl for sun images.

 

I wrote a free program that changes the Windows wallpaper to Geos 16 (Earth color) and SDO (Sun) images every 10 minutes depending on what you select.

I call it Spacegetti

A few notes:

If you run it and the Earth image from Geos 16 does not pop up on your wallpaper right away, it maybe because the server is busy processing the image from the satellite, or the site is overwhelmed just be patient and it will appear as soon as it is available.

When you minimize it, it will go to the task tray as an Earth icon, right click on it and select Show.

It installs to the windows startup folder so it will start when you login.

I am thinking about things to add to the program, I added a telescope performance calculator.

I was thinking about adding moon phases, however; the code to do so that I have is in java and pretty complex so it would take me awhile to convert it to Pascal... So I am not sure it would be worth the effort...

So I have a question for you all what would be useful to add to the program that most astronomy hobbyist would use?
