Hello,
I have to offer borosilicate blanks with a diameter of 20-50cm.
Each blank is machined using diamond tools and then annealing.
I can make the blank with an unusual shape, for example  hexagonal.
I'm happy to do something very custom.
It is possible to perform FEM analysis.
Production time (depending on order) is about 2 months.
An advance payment of approximately 30% is required.
Price of 40cm diameter blank is about 400euro + shipping cost (shipping from Poland).
Regards,
Michael.

This looks very interesting. Could you provide a price/weight list for various blanks between 15cm and 50cm?

Hello,
Prices are as follows
20cm - 200euro
25cm - 250euro
30cm - 300euro
35cm - 350euro
40cm - 400euro
45cm - 500euro
50cm - 600euro
Prices may change slightly.
More information on priv or on cellular.blank@gmail.com
Below is a photo of a Dall-Kirkham telescope (30cm) with a mirror made from my blank

The weight of the cellular blank is about 50% smaller than the monolithic blank. It is possible to make an ultra light version (40cm around 4-4.5kg) but then everything must be well designed and converted.

Regards

Michael

Below is an example of deflection analysis for a blank of 405mm diameter and a thickness of 45mm - weight 6.2kg.
Comparative picture of two almost identical designs, to the top added additional walls - maximum deflection - 5,305 nm vs - 7,654 nm. Design done on fast with a few patches .....
RMS is probably several times (3-4x) smaller ...
Regards

Michael
