Hello all,

I have been unable to do much astro video for the past several due to daytime life getting in the way.  I was thinking of re-purposing my ZWO cameras for microscopy.  Are there any guides on using microscope objective lenses with cameras such as the ZWO ASI224 or ASI1600mm?

Would something like this work for viewing things pondwater samples: https://www.amazon.c...ount microscope

Any other thoughts or ideas would be great!

Hi Rafael. Sorry to hear about life getting in the way of living. Have you concidered day time solar AP? There´s some awesome footage to be made. There´s day time lunar too from time to time.

For microscopy I would think the color cam would be your best bet. Living organisms moving around in the water would be hard to choreograph for identical exposures with color filtersundecided.gif

Thanks Bjorn,

I have done some solar viewing with a 50mm, perhaps I should try some of my larger scopes.

Any recommended places to buy some microscope lenses to attach to a ZWO camera?

Rafael

I use my ASI224 with my AmScope T490B microscope occasionally. Not often enough to give tips, but it works pretty good if you fiddle with it.
