Hi all,

I am getting a FC 76 DC scope and noticed a small “screw”sticking out on top of the tube holder. Anyone know what it is meant for and what is the size - is it like 1/4 inch ? Thanks in advance.

Thanks! The reason I ask is to see if I can use this (below) as a finder scop instead of the TAK 6-30 and it’s own beacket which cost the same but more magnification?  What do you

“The Stellarvue Little Rascal is a very small, self contained travel scope. It provides a wide, correct image, the same as binoculars. Mount it to any camera tripod, insert the supplied 25 mm eyepiece and enjoy the views! The Little Rascal is a 50 mm f-4.1 achromat telescope. With the supplied eyepiece you get 9X and with the supplied Barlow you get 18X.

Use it on the range, while hiking in nature and to view wide swaths of the night sky. The objective lens is fully multi-coated as is the erecting prism and all other optics, so contrast is very high. The focuser is also fully rotating.

This little rascal works with many (not all) 1.25" eyepieces.  Pop in our UWA eyepieces for a higher power, wide field of view.

The Little Rascal comes with a machined mounting ring and a base that has 1/4"-20 threaded hole for mounting on a camera tripod. Also included is a foam lined travel case with handle and strap. The telescope is supplied with our 25 mm Plossl eyepiece and a 2X Barlow lens. The Barlow will double the power of any eyepiece used.

The Little Rascal may be converted into a finderscope using the E3023R reticle eyepiece and one of our 50 mm finderscope ring systems.”
