I had no idea any Access 125s were in the wild. Would you mind sharing some pics with us?

Don't know if you guys have seen, but the Stellarvue site now lists the ship date as November 6th. Been pretty patient so far, but starting to get a little frustrated.

At least they only pushed the expected ship date back to a week from today. I feel like if they did not believe they would meet that time frame they would have pushed it back more to give themselves more breathing room. I'm impatient, but I would rather have them take the time to do it right than rush the process. Just my twin pennies, though.

Oh I agree Jay. I expect to have this scope for a long time and want the best quality possible. Winter just arrived for Minnesota so I won't use it much until spring anyway, so at this point there is no rush. But still...

Well...they are on the west coast time so I just called them. Talked to a lady that said they will finish up the testing in a couple of days and will begin shipping next week. When I asked if this was a firm date this time she seemed defensive. She said this date was chosen to insure that they would meet the target date. If I am not mistaken, I believe that is what they said last week.

Ok. I just got a call back from stellarvue. They have two scopes ready to go and mine will go out tomorrow or Wednesday. I guess calling them helped. So they are starting to ship.

I opted for the Zygo test and I think others did as well.

I'm actually hoping that once we all get our tests, we can share and compare. I'm very curious as well.

Yes, I ordered the test. The test results should ship with the scope. The Strehl number I am sure will be one of the measurements reported. Not sure what else.

That is great news.... hopefully the rest of us won't be far behind. FYI, I also included the zygo test in my order and will be happy to share the results with everyone. I got one with my SV80a and it has a measured strehl of 0.974, a number I would be quite pleased to match in the 125.

Clear Skies,

Jay

Congratulation RLawson!  Even though I'm one behind you on the wait list, the site was just updated to say mine will ship on Thursday, 11/2. Just got my new mount setup and ready to go.  Can't Wait!!!!

FedEx just delivered my new scope. The box was in good shape with no damage visible. Unboxed it and got my first look at it.

This is my first time posting pictures so I hope it turns out ok.

I looked at the report I purchased and this scope has a strehl of .988

I could not have asked for more.

The weather here is not good and it may be several days before first light. I will post more pics later as I get time. I plan on taking my time setting everything up and trying to do it right.

I am am so excited. It is a beautiful telescope.

I would be thrilled beyond words if mine comes in at that strehl.... still waiting, scheduled for Tuesday.

I just noticed that the focuser does not match the image on their website. It shows one painted "instrument white", like the OTA. This is the way I received my SV80a. Not a big deal, but surprising.

RL - Congratulations!! I like the idea of the black anodized focuser better than the white.  I though it was a little odd to have part of the focuser white. Or do you like the white better on the SV80A?

Jason - I'm in the same boat.  Arriving Tuesday and .988 would absolutely THRILL me!  TK

I actually really like the white on the SV80a. Its certainly a matter of personal preference.... just something I noticed right away and thought I would point out.

My guess is there was no time left to have the Focuser painted to match the OTA.

I do like the look of it better with the white but the black looks fine as well.
