A: No. They take it down at 5pm, it's on a timer.

Q: Can you see the American flag on the moon with your telescope?
A: No. They take it down at 5pm, it's on a timer.
Funny answers are a bit problematic when the outreach is the part of a team building training, and half of the people are drunk, they are loud and bored, and they won't remember the event the next morning.
it happened.
(I found that everyday people have a lot better questions than "do you see thte flag. on the moon?" or the favourite " Is the moon landing true or false??")

A. "D'oh!!!", "Yes."
It happens quite often, and it hasn't harmed an eyepiece yet. That Televue quality still shines!

The distance of the celestial object being viewed and the cost of the particular telescope being used are the two most common questions that I've been asked over the years.
There's always the classic, "Is that a picture of Saturn in the telescope?".

Hey pika jime,
How’s the volunteering going? Still at it?
Most people are kind and thoughtful, especially the individuals that make an effort to go to an observatory. If you were volunteering at a craps table in an alleyway, then you might want to be packing.
I hope you learned a few things, which is hard not to do when you find the courage to put yourself out there.

I find having Skysafari on a tablet useful. I find I use it for the data and information present.
The sort of How far is xyz away?
Don't really use it for myself in the manner I suspect it was intended, it is a very good surce of useful information.
