Deep partial eclipse, approximately 20 seconds prior to second contact

 

Equipment:

Canon EOS 70D at TS Photoline 60 mm f/5.5 - FPL-53 apochromatic refractor with flattener

Tracked by Skywatcher StarAdventurer mount on carbon tripod, Baader AstroSolar ND5 filter film

Controlled by Eclipse Orchestrator software via laptop

 

Data:

Location: Total Eclipse Camping, between Mitchell and Service Creek, Oregon

Exposure: 1/5000 seconds, ISO 100

 

Processing:

Cropped with Adobe Photoshop

Single image.  The only thing I did was brighten it a little and crop it.

iOptron Solar 60(60mm F/6) Refractor, Filtered and Unfiltered

Canon Rebel T3i

 

Your Data:

Location-Perryville, MO

Settings-ISO 200, 1/320 for Partial, ISO 400 1/30 for Totality

 

Your Processing:

After editing in Adobe Camera Raw, imported the 13 images into Photoshop and moved into position.

The logos and labeling are there because this image won the contest at the Saint Louis Astronomical Society, and will be going on mugs.

Sorry for the late response on getting the winners posted. Was a busy weekend for me.

 

The winner is Charotarguy! Congratulations! You did a great job capturing this one. The clouds (though I bet frustrating) really let the light stand out in this image. The prom coming out as well was a great a touch too.
