We get the same bunk from this source all the time. The old images on the web stuck in an endless cycle rolled out over and over from some who probably has never used EAA for example. If you remember this is from the same person who said outreach is terrible and no club should ever do one as it makes members feel obligated? Same person who said never likes to be bothered by anyone one when observing as its distracting. So they pitch into an outreach question. Priceless.

You are 100% right there is no right way as there is no wrong way.

If one wants to look at images on a screen, there is no reason to go to an outreach to do so.

I never suggested that outreach shouldn't be done.

I never said that I did not wish to ever be interrupted during observing sessions.

No right or wrong way, you say?  Then there shouldn't be any problem with promoting visual astronomy for newbies, nor with avoiding outreach, nor with observing in peace.

...... Young folks have different ideas. Did you see the crowd fund for the EVscope? Folks funded it with over $2.25million. Its not you your old school scope but it shows the market is there.

Different lifeviews and the old ways are NOT coming back.

Is there any reliable, unbiased demographic info on just who it was that "crowd-funded" the EVScope?

The old ways never left. It's some of the "new ways" that might have trouble getting traction.
