Hey everyone,

This is Gordon checking in from Solar Eclipse Timer.  I have really enjoyed everyone's posts and images from the 2017 eclipse!  Great work by everyone.

I haven't posted in a while because I have been working on continuing my eclipse education efforts by starting a new YouTube channel to prepare people for upcoming eclipses.  I have enough content out there now that I figured I would share it with you guys at this point.  There is much more to come.  I am trying to get all of the partial phase phenomena things covered first.  Then I have to start to work on the updates to the app to get ready for 2019.  After that, I will do video versions of my posts that were called Demystifying Solar Eclipse Eclipse Photography.

So, please enjoy them and share them with other interested eclipse chasers. Consider subscribing to my channel and you will get updates as I post more videos

Dr. Gordon,

Congratulations on your YouTube channel, I credit you, Jerry and a host of other nice people over here to help me get some respectable images, they might not be the best ones out there but it gives me immense satisfaction on taking them by myself. bow.gif bow.gif bow.gif

Charotarguy,

Thanks!  Last summer, getting ready for this eclipse was a great time for me.  I am glad I could help people.  I am still working on the eclipse education.  I am giving a lecture about the chicken behavior and the phenomena of sharp and fuzzy shadows at the end of this  month.  Watch my sharp and fuzzy shadow video, that is the best documentation on the internet about the effect.  Also planning to meet with my NASA contacts to discuss shadow bands.  I have 3 great videos that may allow some hypotheses to be discussed.

I haven't even worked on processing my images yet.  I have some good images from this eclipse.

Thanks again,

Gordon
