There have been a lot of new faces popping up here in B&II, and I wanted to go back through and share out links to all of the data I have provided in the past for people to process. If you are new, this is a great opportunity to play with some good data, and if you are not new, this is a great way to hone those skills! Regardless, I know a lot of people across the US are facing poor weather, so what better time to reshare all of this wonderful data?
These are all Narrowband integrations, but do not let that scare you from trying! Narrowband data, if anything, allows for a vast realm of artistic influence and endless opportunities to blend to your hearts content.
Without further ado...
Pelican Nebula, HA/OIII/SII
Crescent Nebula, HA/OIII
North America Nebula, HA/OIII/SII:
Elephant Trunk Nebula, HA/OIII (NOTE: Elephant Trunk data is also lights and calibration frames thus you will need to process from the ground up)
Bubble Nebula, HA/OIII (NOTE: Full integration data provided, you will have to roll your own masters from ground zero!!)
PacMan Nebula, HA/OIII
PacMan Nebula Revisted, HA, OIII, SII (Very high quality data, best data I have taken yet)
The vast majority of this data was taken with a Takahashi FSQ106ED and a QSI690WSG-8 camera. The PacMan Nebula data was taken with a Takahashi TOA130 and the QSI690 camera, and to this day remains the best set of data I have ever managed to get. I believe the full Bubble set of data was taken with the TOA130 as well. All integrations were done on a Astro-Physics 1100 GTO CP4 mount, and use Astrodon Narrowband filters. Processing of masters was done in PixInsight.
Let me know if you have any questions. All I ask is that if you publish your processing of this data somewhere, just please give me credit for acquisition. Otherwise, have fun, learn a thing or two, and to steal the advice from Goofi, let the data guide you to what you want to make of it in the end.
