At the risk of sounding stupid, I'll ask this.... How are you getting color images from this data? Everything I fiddle around with in Pixinsight still results in these being gray...

Each channel will be gray or mono anyway, until you combine them all together then they will create the colors, each color represent a color or if they are NB filters/channel then you can set each for a certain color then combine them by one of the settings, one channel won't give you colors unless you colorize it but it will be like only one color anyway.

removed the stars from OIII and SII and stretched them.  Stacked them on top of HA with a small bit of opacity to create a luminance layer.

Flattened that down

copied it twice as an overlay and a soft light layer

added a small pixel high pass to the overlay

added a huge pixel high pass to the soft light

masked them both off and brought out the parts i liked

added the three files to RGB channels in another layer

dilly dally with the RGB levels

Spend 3 1/2 more hours of things and stuff.

The storage for them is expired, sadly. :( If I am able to host the data elsewhere I will update this thread.

The problem is, i download them at different computer at different times, so i can't remember i downloaded so far in the past and i didn't, you can always try to put those files folders into one folder, or keep them in original folders and compress them all into one file, so that file is smaller, but if it is still very large size then simply compress them but split the compressed file into smaller files then we can de-compress it later, anything so you keep your file available for download for those who didn't download yet, or even like us who forgot, your data is very inspirational and great reference to learn and practice.

Hello all,

The data has been uploaded to a new share on OneDrive.

https://1drv.ms/f/s!...8Yx3HQzPBVDwung

Note that now only a single link is needed to get to all of the shared data. Also, there are only master FITS files now, as uploading entire integrations proved to use way too much space on my share (~100GB then, now only 5GB).

Data is still in the process of uploading. If you dont see something you wanted to poke at, check again later. If something doesnt work right, just holler at me.

Edit: I am going to add one folder for "Full HA Narrowband Set" that is a 2 hour HA integration that will not have any masters (except for darks and bias), but will have the flats, darks, and bias, along with the HA lights so people that want to try out a full integration can. That will be the only data in there that is roll-your-own. Use the 900s master dark for the lights, and the 90 second master dark for the flats. Both master darks are Bias subtracted. The HA flats are not all exactly 90 seconds (but none are over 90 seconds) so you may want to scale the darks when you make those.

Working with such great data is nice.

Want to try some low budget data?  Here is a data set from the m63 contest last month.  There are 17 dark frames and 37 lights (IR filter).   A 6" newt with a Meade DSI Pro.  60 second subs.

Out of the 37 lights I only stacked 14 to get the following image.

Here is the data 54mb zip: https://drive.google...7PEvp1JQyiz3d9/

Here's my go at processing the data for the Heart Nebula, any feedback is welcomed!

Processing steps: Combined the SHO data into one RGB layer > Increase exposure and offset gamma (by a very small amount; purpose was to make the colours 'show') > Medium HLVG (2x) > Hues and Saturation to get the overall colour > Shadows and highlights > Dfine to remove some of the noise from stretching (0% colour noise, 15% contrast noise)

Here's my very first attempt processing multi-channel files - thanks so much Bill for providing great source material. I registered them w/ DSS to get offsets and rotations, then the rest was all done in GIMP, so a 100% free workflow!

Poking in here to check if folks would be interested in trying some Mosaic panel data out? I've got a 4 panel SHO Mosaic of NA + Pelican I'll be able to share shortly.
