My first attempt at the Rosette Nebula

 

211 x 30 seconds = 1.75 hours total integration
Nikon D5500 unmodified
Nikon af-s 300mm/f4
Aperture f5.2 using aperture mask
ISO 3200
Tracker: Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer
Stacked in DSS with 50 darks, 100 bias, 64 flats
Processed in Pixinsight 1.8 and Photoshop CS5

Just getting into DSLR astrophotography and this is an inspiration! How much of the frame did the nebula actually take up at 300mm?

Here's a small jpeg of the unprocessed stack, you can see how much of the frame the Rosette takes up on a 300mm lens using a crop sensor camera.
