So, when I went to college, back in 1997, I had to give up using the LX5 I had bought when I was 14 (saved up for the darn thing for four years!! lol). Now, I am in grad school, and am finally living in a place, where I can store the scope, and use it, so I am taking it out of deep storage (has been stored for several years now). My father took a look at it last night, and told me it looks like it is in great shape, but the front looks a bit dirty/dusty, and I am sure everything will need to be re-aligned.

Does anyone have any tips for taking a scope out of such a long storage? How much can I do myself, and how much should I leave up to a pro? Any tips would be greatly appreciated! :)
