Here's a bit of trivia for all you Sci-fi nerds, geeks ie. my kind of people

For any fans of Space channel's Star Gate Atlantis. In the later episodes, when-ever our Milky Way galaxy was shown, it's actually a Hubble Space Telescope shot of M51 in all it's glory. Including many H2 regions.

*** Many thanks to Astronaut Story Musgrave for the many hours of simulations in NASA's neutral bouancy pool and then the grueling hours of the  EVA installing the Costar corrective optics package onto the HST.

I have neither the budget nor the time to break into AP, but photos like this make me reconsider for a moment.
