Vixen GP-DX. This has

1. both polar scope caps

2. matching dovetail

3. RA illuminated setting circle?

3. HAL tripod. Possibly the ultra-rare HAL-150, which extends toward 54"

I used to have a GP-DX with a HAL-150 tripod. It was very very stable. Near zero recovery time from minor bumps and nudges. I never thought of replacing the legs with wood ones.

Do not see

1. Tray

2. motors or controllers. There are motor covers

Caveats to check on: bent worm gear shafts, tight axis. Overall has a  nice cosmetic appearance.

Is it worth $600. Tempting. Shipping is $30, probably less than actual shipping costs.

THAT is a beauty. Totally worth it. Can't see how something in such perfect cosmetic shape is going have anything bent :)

Yes, likely in great shape inside also.

This one was made by Vixen for Orion. Vixen matched the GP-DX with Vixen's high end refractor and those (all, some?) came with the HAL-150 tripod.

I'm tempted I'm tempted...

20 lbs is what is comfortable on my comparable LXD75. It handles my 5" f/9 refractor very well. GP is probably the same.

That model will handle 10 Kg which is a little over 22 lbs.
