Question for the TAK experts

Does anyone know how to read the TAK  serial number system for the Mewlon 210?     Is it year followed by sequence number?

Thanks

Mike

Good question. Just got a barely used 210 yesterday. Can't wait to get a break in the weather for first light.

I believe that the first 2 digits represent the last two digits of the year of manufacture, and the last 3 digits represent the series of that model produced that year.  For example, 99012 would represent scope #012 produced in 1999.
