1960s Edmund 6" F8 Newtonian OTA -- https://www.ebay.com...soAAOSwFFZbEL~8

Overall very good condition.  Has the secondary glued to the single stalk.

Meade 2045 with Case -- https://www.ebay.com...0AAAOSw--xbD06S

Clean optics, but I do see a dent / crease in the secondary cover.

Here's an oddball only old Bomber Bob would buy...

1960s Wollensak Mirrotel Model W-200 -- https://www.ebay.com...90AAOSwUIFawUt-

But, not at $1300!  One in better condition sold on A-Mart back in 2011 for about $400.

Meade DS-10 -- https://www.ebay.com...ooAAOSwshJbDXXa

BIN for $750 with Free Shipping.  (I like my StarFinder mounts, but can't imagine them carrying a 10" OTA.)

$750 for that hunk of junk is nuts. Can't pay me $750 to take it for free.  I had the 8" version and it was fine on that mount. A 10" is too much.  Be lucky if they get $200 for that.

Yeah, even if you deduct $200 for the included shipping, he's asking $550.  The restore wouldn't be too hard, but under all the filth, the mirrors may need a re-coat.  Even if they don't, you're still stuck with a big under-mounted Newt.  Might be OK for low power / DSO observing, but you don't need a GEM for that.

(OTOH, if he'd sell just the OTA at a reasonable price, my massive Tinsley GEM could carry it with ease -- though I'd probably need a ladder for overhead viewing!)

Anyone ever looked through or seen a review of these? They are interesting early Maks.

Interesting.  Looks like about an 5.7" Mak.  Too expensive, though.

Photo device, skeptical of its telescope value.

Had three of them and all had good optics. I had no problems with the mount and regularly use a 6.4mm with 2x Barlow on the planets. It's shaky when focusing but it tracked fine. OTA weighs 35lbs. Easily smoked my 10" LX50 SCT. We must not judge by appearance only.

I'm just judging by the price. It is way crazy overpriced. $750 is way too much in good condition and the one shown is NOT in good looking condition.

THAT is a nice RV-6! All original! Includes a Criterion 4mm Ortho. Great restoration target there.

I believe the Cave Lightweight Deluxe is from a first rate builder /restorer that used to frequent this forum.

Think Data something or other scratchhead2.gif .

From what I've read here it's probably 1/2 wave spherical.

Clean looking C11 Ultima close to me. If I didn’t already own one of these I’d consider getting this.

An interesting homemade 6" f/5 Dobsonian. UO focuser and finder. Debatable if it's worth $550, though.

It keeps coming down little by little. If it had a EM11 tripod i could go $800 smackers.

I would pay $400 with drives and A 102mm fluorite on top with a complete set of Naglers.
