It's coming along great, szg.  I'm looking forward to seeing the final assembly all done and in place!

Update after 2 months with few concept change.

1. Add poly-carbonate side sun-sheds

2. Extend fully open position

Now it's on pier and operate!

Please see the move -> https://youtu.be/3Tb4AtCaG-0

Next step will be wind test (as it fixed to pier), utilities & update safety logic to PLC (the controller).

Looks very cool! You might need to add some additional fastening to the plastic sides, they seem to move around a good bit in the wind.

Yeah. I can't wait to play with the roof lol.gif

After that, I glued sun shade sheet to those plastic sides and fixed it.

Housing has 3 insulation layers + sun shade. Today is very hot and sunny, max temp inside is less than max ambient temp. cool.gif cool.gif cool.gif

Put everything together today to ready for vibration test. It's CEM60, not AVX as planned.

Roof controlled by this small PLC. I can remote control via web interface.

Very cool! Would be great to see a video of it opening/starting up for a typical session. I like your idea of a fixed light frame screen, very ingenious.

Now you just need to mass produce these things and sell them :)

How well has this been working out for you? Its a very interesting idea and would work great for me and simple automated imaging. Do you have the roof automated with a rain or cloud sensor?

So far so good. It's 2 months now and very productive. I bought rain sensor but need some effort to make it works. Planned to finish it before May, rainy season here. ^_^
