OK

But the issue is I cannot get a 50% histogram unless I crank up the gain to above 80. with the exp at 5-15.

This is on a real clear bright night.

If that is normal, then OK.  But for a planet not as bright as Jupiter or Saturn, I am concerned it is out of my capabilities as is.

I cannot see Mars yet, but was looking forward to capturing it.
I have reached out to ZWO for the the USBTraffic issues.
I did find a post on the forum, from a poster James, that with a Asi120 2.0, he could not get good video stability unless traffic was set to 40.

Is there anybody on this that is NOT using USB3.0 today.

Been a while since I've used my ASI120 (mine does have USB 3 tho) so i don't remember the gain numerical range, but I have my gain set around 75-80% of the total range for planetary use.

Mars is crazily bright right now so I don't think you will have a problem there.

I took the plunge and ordered a ASI224MC.
I noticed it does not have the IR filter like my 120.  I have a Baader UV/IR/Cut/L 1.25" I have had for a while. Will this work for this camera?
I also have a UHC-s filter as well.
