I have been given a Meade DS2105 MAK optical tube. It is in fair condition with its mirror and front lens in excellent condition. The problem with it is that it is way out of collimation. I have removed the back and tried to collimate it, but there is a problem with the screws. They have striped the plastic and they won't stay put. With he faintest knock it gets out of collimation again. What can I do? What do you recommend? I thought of using larger screws, but sooner or later they will wear the plastic. Has anyone had any similar problem?
