My lovely Intes Micro 815 Deluxe Maksutov Cassegrain. This scope has a system Strehl of 0.985 and the mirrors are 1/9.5 - just under 10th wave. This scope is easily the equal of a 6-inch APO refractor and will punch well above its aperture. Scope of a lifetime for me.

This was the first time trying the mount in AZ mode - worked ok.

The mount is excellent and nice to use. The only gripe is when used in eq mode the polar scope is uncomfortable to get to with your eye.

The tripod is a German Berlebach “Planet”  ash tripod lovely and stable with over 100kg load capacity,, and not silly money.

My Pride and Joy - my Intes Micro 815 Deluxe. Had it for just a year now - awesome optically - System Strehl of 0.985, 1/9.5 wave optics.
"Svetlana" as we call here in the York Astronomical Society is an amazing Lunar & Planetary Scope, and also delivers stunningly resolved views of Compact DSO's like the the Messier Objects.
Its a real shame that Intes have stopped producing such optically superb scopes for other people to enjoy. Mine is a keeper and not going anywhere - scope of a Lifetime for me smile.gif

Looks beautiful. I too have an 8" mak cass of the same optical quality and have been chomping at the bit to get a good night of observing in.

It certainly is a unique instrument with its such a long focal length but I can see myself really enjoying it.
