This is a weird (to me) basic Vixen 80/910 scope. Alt-az mount but overall fit and finish are clearly below the level of the Custom series.

Is this already something manufactured in China, or some earlier offering from some Japanese subcontractor?

then there is this one just below the ebay lisitng you link to   90mm vixen?    also German language   without translating is hard for me   but  possibly   Klassic Vixen https://www.ebay-kle...968280-242-9595

Yes that is a Vixen 90L (90mm with 1300mm f/l) OTA. Sadly has the little clamshell damage on the lens. But that should not affect optical performance. But hurts resale value big time nonetheless. Thomas

I'd like the Vixen 90L but shipping would probably be astronomical.

Incomplete Unitron 140. Not in great shape, kinda a project scope, except. ....it has a serial number on the lens that looks good.

Ebay

Listed as a 142, but it's an alt az mount.  Way over priced for condition of scope.

Even better, the Mayflower is a 815 and a older one. Check the bottom of the focuser.

Green lens 140, though. At least a serialized cell. Someone should rescue it.

I am guessing it may be an RAO from around ‘62?

Hey Folks,

I am interested in this scope, but there is no way I can figure out how to fet it. So here it is to the Cn community. I hope someone else can get and enjoy this scope. It is an 80mm f/15, mid 80's refractor. Complete package with porro prism, eq mount, sun screen, etc. Supposedly in like new condition.

It is about an hour south of billings montanna in a town called Red Lodge. That is about 600 miles one way for me.

https://billings.cra...6653284120.html

Asking price is $150 obo for the set up.

I have been emailing back and forth with the owner. I am going to have to pass.................

dangfragleriginfrishzzlbitsngofeerbugin darn.

If someone does get it, I would love to know.

Best of luck

OMG, I worked in a place where we used beasts like that.   Would be great for autoguiding a scope.

Hmmm, I would think the price would be much higher considering the Unihex, clock drive and camera.  And he'll knock off $150 if it gets picked up.

So, with that said, that price is excellent.

I agree the price is fair.  However,  Seeing a price tag of over $1000 even with all the extras is great.  However, normally a 128 goes for around $500-600. Clock drive about $300-400, camera $125, Unihex $150, so $1100 is a fair price.
