Congratulations!

Impressive packaging - gives a great sense of the thought / care put into this scope even though it's so incredibly priced.  Thanks for posting the unboxing pic's. At least I'm impressed.  Add that to all the great reviews I've read, what an amazing time to be in the hobby and be able to field a scope of this aperture.  Look forward to reading your impressions through the eyepiece.

Ok, now that I played with it, haven't been able to use visually the weather forecast is:

Weather.jpg

Here are my impressions. The scope is very well built. The color isn't white, its a clear coat with speckles, this is like a metallic white. Really really nice. The Focuser is complete overkill. This thing can handle probably anything I want to put on it. The build quality is excellent. The rings and handle are a really nice touch. So what are its minuses. I found 3, the first is that the Losmandy dovetail came with no stop screws, considering the weight, that was a pretty obvious omission, not that the screws are expensive but they should be included.

The other is that the focuser should have space for another finder dovetail. I like to use a finder and a guidescope (not that I need the guidescope) but having space for another dovetail would have been nice.

The other item I found is that the finder dovetail was tight with one of my finders, I don't consider it a fault, because another finder (and the guidescope) worked well and as I don't currently like my finder, another reason to get one of these https://agenaastro.c...cuser-50mm.html

Ok so some pictures :)

Rings and handle. The handle is a freaking smart touch. All refractor should come with a handle

Just to show the size, the island is 8 feet long and sits 4 people. The APM fully extended fills up most of the island.

In the above angle they don't look much different in size. This is the difference.

Mounted on the G11. I think a G11 is the minimum for this scope.

Very nice scope Helder. Hope your weather clears soon. Dark skies, with that N31T5 in it's focuser, G11 purring away, sitting in an observing chair, what a way to start a night of observing..... jump.gif
