Here my view of the perseids.

paysage11_l.jpg

This watercolor was made during the first part of the 12-13 night, the second part was cloudy.

A lot of -3 to -5 shooting stars, as in the two nights after the maximum.

Clear sky to you all

Michel

Great scene, Michel!  I always like the foreground in your naked eye paintings and I especially like looking for and identifying the constellations you include.  cool.gif

Love it Mchel,

I am so glad you got to see the meteor shower and sketch it so well.

This water color belongs on a page in a book or article with a description of this annual shower.

Excellent.

Frank :)

Beautiful! Love your naked eye work.

(I'm on holiday in France (Limoges). A lot of clear skies, but no luck at the night of 12-13 and 13-14 august... clouds frown.gif )

I observed the Perseids from a rural site, between 0°° and 1°° UT at Monday morning. Together with my wife, I lay in a sleeping bag an looked at ther nort eas sky. We saw aroun 50 meteors, most were as bright as 2 mag .... 0 mag, often with green after glow. One afterglow stood around half a minute: Great.
