#332 and #333 targets are very low

 

9x30s  Observed in Sharpcap 3.2. Saved as viewed.

 

NGC 5595 and NGC 5597 are a pair of faint galaxies separated by 4 arc minutes. The northwest object is the Sc spiral NGC 5595 with faint halo and a somewhat brighter circular core with a stellar nucleus.

NGC 5597 is to the southeast and is somewhat fainter. It is a Sb spiral with an elongated halo and a dim stellar nucleus.

NGC 5728 is a Sb spiral grouped with NGC 5716. It has a fairly bright halo with broad central brightening. The core is prominent, and the nucleus contains two stellar points.

NGC 5791 is a Sa spiral galaxy. It has a bright stellar nucleus embedded in a small round core and an irregular halo. It is paired with the galaxies IC 1077 and IC 1081.

NGC 5878 is a Sb spiral with a diffuse mottled disk. A fairly bright halo contains a small oval core with a stellar nucleus. The halo is unevenly concentrated near the core.

NGC 5861 is a 11th magnitude Spiral Galaxy appearing in the constellation Libra. It is 79 million light years from our solar system.

NGC 5861 appears roughly 2.8 x 1.1 arcminutes in size, corresponding to a physical diameter of 63638 light years. It is a spiral galaxy of morphological type SABc, and is receding at 1859 kilometers per second - about 0.6% of light speed.

NGC 5812 is a 11th magnitude Elliptical Galaxy appearing in the constellation Libra. It is 87 million light years from our solar system.

NGC 5812 appears roughly 2.7 x 2.3 arcminutes in size, corresponding to a physical diameter of 67378 light years. It is an elliptical galaxy of morphological type E, and is receding at 1917 kilometers per second - about 0.6% of light speed.

NGC 5427 is Sc spiral interacting with NGC 5426. This pair of interacting galaxies is separated by about 2 arc minutes north to south. The northern system, NGC 5427, is the larger and brighter of the two. It is slightly elongated and contains a bright core with a stellar nucleus.

NGC 5426, the southern component, has a moderately faint halo and an extended core with a faint stellar nucleus. A 13th magnitude star is superimposed upon the halo of NGC 5426.

Simas,  Kudos on your perseverance.  You are getting close to the finish line.  This is going to be a nice "catalog" for others to use.

 

I was looking at one of your videos and see that you have a wide angle camera monitoring your scope.  I want to add a similar camera to my set up.  But I use a dark location, so it would take a very sensitive camera.  If I remember correctly, you also use a dark location.  So I am curious to know how you are getting such a good image of your scope.  Which camera/lens are you using?  Are you using any illumination of the scope?

Hi Rick, camera itself has12 those micro IR lamps to illuminate nearby, up to 20 meters, objects. It was quite cheap:

NGC 5668 is a Sc spiral with a small faint nucleus. In larger telescopes NGC 5668 is weakly concentrated. Its broad, mottled core is just slightly brighter than its outer halo, which is about 2 arc minutes in diameter.

NGC 5775 is a Sb spiral paired with nearby NGC 5774. It has a thin, long core with faint extensions making the galaxy's total length about 4 arc minutes. Its companion galaxy, NGC 5774, is a dwarf system. It is much fainter with a faint elongated halo.

NGC 5638 appears roughly 1.9 x 1.7 arcminutes in size, corresponding to a physical diameter of 47737 light years. It is an elliptical galaxy of morphological type E, and is receding at 1657 kilometers per second - about 0.6% of light speed.

NGC 5506 is a 11th magnitude Spiral Galaxy appearing in the constellation Virgo. It is 92 million light years from our solar system.

NGC 5506 appears roughly 2.9 x 0.8 arcminutes in size, corresponding to a physical diameter of 77205 light years. It is a spiral galaxy of morphological type SABa, and is receding at 1819 kilometers per second - about 0.6% of light speed.

 

Object higher:
NGC 5507 is a 12th magnitude Spiral Galaxy appearing in the constellation Virgo. It is 92 million light years from our solar system.

NGC 5507 appears roughly 1.6 x 0.8 arcminutes in size, corresponding to a physical diameter of 42862 light years. It is a spiral galaxy of morphological type S0, and is receding at 1824 kilometers per second - about 0.6% of light speed.

NGC 5806 is a Sb spiral paired with nearby NGC 5813 and NGC 5814. It is the easternmost member of the NGC 5856 group, a cluster of galaxies scattered over one degree of sky near the 4th magnitude star 110 Virginis.

NGC 5806 appears rather faint, and its 2 arc minutes halo contains a moderately concentrated core in which is embedded a faint stellar nucleus.

NGC 5813 an E1 elliptical galaxy paired with NGC 5814. NGC 5813 is a bright galaxy with a 1.5 arc minute halo that contains a small bright core and a sharp nonstellar nucleus.

It is a member of the NGC 5846 group, a cluster of galaxies scattered over one degree of sky near the 4th magnitude star 110 Virginis. NGC 5814 is 5 arc minutes southeast of NGC 5813.

It is located northeast of the NGC 5846 galaxy group and is that cluster's most isolated member.
